“We could tell the teachers were interested in our kids right from the “get go”. There’s a nurturing that goes on between student and teacher. Maybe that’s why they are so successful teaching both martial arts and values.”
Tina Beachler, (Parent of Kelly & Brock).

“Nicholas has always been a very good boy and martial arts really seems to reinforce the values we try to teach him at home such as respect and discipline. I would say the biggest change we have seen is his increased self-confidence. It was evident very quickly. Nicholas is proud of himself for doing his best and on his improvements. When he first started he was very quite and hesitant about drawing attention to himself. Now he has no hesitation about demonstrating his skills”.
Shelley Tyler (Parent of Nicholas).

“Chandler is even more respectful than he was prior to starting this class. He is more confident and is becoming more goal oriented. A pleasant surprise for us”.

“Redlands Community College provides a summer program for kid’s age5-13. Our Kids College program teaches enrichment type classes on campus for students in the surrounding communities. This past summer Mr. Troy Cheatwood was employed as one of our instructors. Mr. Cheatwood’s Martial Arts class was very successful. He provided the children with important life skill information on how to deal with strangers and how to self protect in case of danger.

I was very impressed in the response of the children to Mr. Cheatwood. He was very professional, articulate and delivered an age appropriate message. The children responded with extreme respect. We had numerous inquiries about having Mr. Cheatwood continue his program through the Fall semester. I would encourage anyone who is looking for a program that builds self-esteem, self-confidence, and the awareness of self-protection from strangers to implement Mr. Cheatwoods Youth Enrichments Skills program.
Kyra Archer, Kids College Coordinator

“To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to let others know that the “Youth Enrichment Skills” program presented by Troy Cheatwood, at our school, has a very positive message for students. The section on self-protection, dealing with strangers is very important for young children to know about. Mr. Cheatwood presented the information in a way that elementary-aged children can understand and relate to. I would recommend this type of program for all elementary school–aged children.”
Margaret Durham, Counselor, Briarwood Elementary

“Dear Mr. Cheatwood,

It was amazing to (us) as third grade teachers how closely what you said correlated with what we have been teaching them all year through our character education. Thank you for helping us to emphasize the characteristics that we as adults know are so important to us in the world in which we live.”
Third Grade Teachers, Houchin Elementary

He now understands (better) the importance of paying attention and thinking. He is beginning to understand the necessity to practice and remain active and well-rounded.”
